Seacroft, situated between Leeds and York, was once a small village. The village green, referred to as “The Green,” is still present and is one of the oldest in the UK. The Cricketers Arms pub can be found on the north side of the green, while St James parish church, constructed in 1845 by architect T. Hellyer, is located on the south side. John Wesley gave a sermon on The Green, and as a result, a Wesleyan Chapel (Methodist Church) was constructed nearby. Seacroft Green currently has an active residents’ association.

Keep them clean
Use a damp cloth to wipe down the doors regularly and remove dust, dirt, and other debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaning products that can damage the door’s finish.
Lubricate hinges and locks
Apply a lubricant such as WD-40 to the hinges to keep them operating smoothly. Remove any excess lubricant with a clean cloth. Locks should be lubricated with graphite powder.
Check for damage
Regularly inspect the doors for any cracks, chips, or scratches. Address any damage as soon as possible to prevent further deterioration.
Adjust the door if necessary
If the door is not closing properly, it may need to be adjusted. Check the hinges and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper alignment. By following these tips, you can keep your internal doors looking and functioning well for years to come.

A lock can fail due to various reasons, such as wear and tear from frequent use, damage caused by physical force or exposure to extreme weather conditions, improper installation, issues with the key, or internal problems like broken springs, pins, or tumblers. Inadequate maintenance can also cause premature lock failure. Therefore, it is crucial to have any lock failure promptly addressed by a qualified locksmith to ensure the safety and security of your property. Regular maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustment, can help prevent lock failure.
