George Rawdon, a member of the Rawdon family and brother to Ann Paslew, oversaw the construction of a new hall in Cliffe Lane, which was known as Rawdon Low Hall in the past and now as Rawdon Hall. The hall was completed in 1625, as indicated by a date stone. George Rawdon went on to serve as the secretary and agent of Edward, 1st Viscount Conway, and was sent to Ireland to deal with the aftermath of the Catholic rebellion in Ulster in 1641. During this time, he entrusted the management of his estates to his son-in-law, John Stanhope II of Horsforth.

Keep them clean
Use a damp cloth to wipe down the doors regularly and remove dust, dirt, and other debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaning products that can damage the door’s finish.
Lubricate hinges and locks
Apply a lubricant such as WD-40 to the hinges to keep them operating smoothly. Remove any excess lubricant with a clean cloth. Locks should be lubricated with graphite powder.
Check for damage
Regularly inspect the doors for any cracks, chips, or scratches. Address any damage as soon as possible to prevent further deterioration.
Adjust the door if necessary
If the door is not closing properly, it may need to be adjusted. Check the hinges and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper alignment. By following these tips, you can keep your internal doors looking and functioning well for years to come.

Composite doors are a type of front or interior door made of a combination of materials. They are typically constructed with a solid timber core that is then covered with a reinforced outer layer of materials, such as PVC, GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), or other composite materials.

The combination of materials used in composite doors provides several advantages over traditional wooden doors, such as enhanced durability, insulation, and security. They are also more weather-resistant and require less maintenance than traditional wooden doors.

Composite doors come in a variety of designs and colours to suit different styles and preferences. They can be customized with features such as glazing, decorative panels, and hardware to create a unique and personalized look for your home or business.

Overall, composite doors are a popular choice for homeowners and businesses looking for a durable, low-maintenance, and secure entry or interior door.
