The Swarcliffe housing estate is located in east Leeds, West Yorkshire. It was built in the 1950s by the city council to provide affordable housing for local residents. The estate is made up of two- and three-bedroom semidetached council houses, as well as several blocks of flats.

The flats were built in three-storey blocks, as well as three brick-built nine-storey blocks. Two of the nine-storey blocks were demolished in the 1990s, and an old people’s home was built on the site. In 2007, the remaining block was also demolished.

Keep them clean
Use a damp cloth to wipe down the doors regularly and remove dust, dirt, and other debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaning products that can damage the door’s finish.
Lubricate hinges and locks
Apply a lubricant such as WD-40 to the hinges to keep them operating smoothly. Remove any excess lubricant with a clean cloth. Locks should be lubricated with graphite powder.
Check for damage
Regularly inspect the doors for any cracks, chips, or scratches. Address any damage as soon as possible to prevent further deterioration.
Adjust the door if necessary
If the door is not closing properly, it may need to be adjusted. Check the hinges and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper alignment. By following these tips, you can keep your internal doors looking and functioning well for years to come.

Security doors are doors that are specifically designed to provide high levels of protection and security for homes and businesses. These doors are typically made of strong and durable materials such as steel or aluminium and often feature reinforced frames, hinges, and locks to prevent forced entry.

Security doors may come in various styles, such as hinged doors, sliding doors, or bi-fold doors, and can be customized to suit the specific needs and requirements of a property. They may also feature additional security features such as multiple locking points, keyless entry systems, and advanced locking mechanisms.

Some security doors may also be fire-rated, meaning they are designed to provide a certain level of protection against fire and smoke. This can be particularly important for businesses or properties with high occupancy levels, where safety is a top priority.

Overall, security doors are an effective way to enhance the security of a property and provide peace of mind, particularly in areas with high crime rates or where there is a risk of break-ins or vandalism. It is important to choose a reputable and experienced security professional to install security doors to ensure that they are installed correctly and provide optimal protection.
